It’s now easier than ever to stay informed about changes or delays to your child(ren)’s bus route(s). Beginning in September 2024, the Transportation Department will only share information about delays or cancellations through the Bus Planner Delays app. This will ensure families only receive notifications for their selected bus route(s).

The Bus Planner Delays App is free to download on your smartphone. Once installed, you can select which route(s) you would like to receive notifications for. To get started, watch the instructional video below, or follow these steps:

• Search for “Bus Planner Delays” in the App Store and download it for free.
• Open the app, select “Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education” from the menu, and click “Next.”
• Follow the prompts to select “My Child’s Bus,” choose your child’s school, and then their specific bus route. (If you do not know your child(ren)’s route, login to the Bus Planner Parent Portal at https://www.cbvbussing.ca/ to confirm eligibility and route*)
• Close the app and restart it to ensure all settings are applied correctly
